Dockcerto
Your first pickup · Quick start

From company setup
to a clear shipper response.

Five practical steps to learn Dockcerto, prepare a pickup and understand what the warehouse has reported.

01 / GET SET UP

Open your private company workspace

Create an account or sign in, verify your email, and create or join your company workspace. Use your company email for team access.

The company owner manages the subscription and team in Settings. Creating an account does not authorize a charge.

Already signed in? Use Getting started on Overview. Its next action follows the pickup with the most relevant recorded progress.
02 / CREATE THE RECORD

Start with the warehouse and pickup details

Choose New pickup. Reuse a saved warehouse or enter one manually, then add the pickup reference, date, shipping contact and useful dock instructions.

  • Save frequent locations in Warehouses and mark favorites.
  • For exact requested hours, save the warehouse time zone, pickup date, start and end time.
  • Use Repeat pickup for another load; review its fresh reference and schedule before saving.
Saving a pickup sends no invitation. Requested hours are not a confirmed warehouse appointment. Updating a saved warehouse does not rewrite older pickups.
03 / PREPARE THE REQUEST

Create one secure shipper checklist link

After saving, choose Next: shipper link. Or open Readiness → Confirmations and select your pickup.

Review the reference and contact before generating the link. Links are single-use and normally expire after 48 hours. The warehouse contact does not need an account.

A replacement revokes the previous unused link. Do not generate another merely to check progress. Open Activity to review what is already recorded.
04 / MAKE THE HANDOFF

Copy, review, then share or send

Copy the confidential link and share it only with the intended warehouse contact through your usual channel. On the live site, an email draft can help you prepare the message; review and send the draft yourself.

If the owner has enabled workspace email, Send invitation submits it through Dockcerto. Initial invitations require a deliberate Send action. The owner can manage reminders through Settings → Email & reminders.

Link created, provider accepted and delivered are different states. A generated link alone proves neither delivery nor a shipper response.
05 / REVIEW BEFORE DISPATCH

Read the response and resolve exceptions

The shipper answers four questions: freight packaging and labels, count, bill of lading, and loading equipment. Review their answers and notes in Activity or the pickup details.

ReadyThe shipper marked all four items ready.
Needs attentionOne or more items need follow-up. Review the answers and contact the warehouse.
Awaiting confirmationNo completed readiness response is recorded yet. A link may still need to be shared or followed up.

Use Dispatch day for today/tomorrow, Readiness → Follow-ups for unresolved work, and Analytics for scoped reporting and CSV export. On Pickups, Find an older pickup looks up an exact reference outside the recent list.

Readiness is shipper-reported. Confirm appointments, changes and operational requirements directly; your team makes the dispatch decision.
HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT

Keep the next step simple

The shipper has not responded

Check that the intended contact received the link. Review Activity, delivery information when available, and outstanding details before replacing or resending anything.

I need to correct a pickup

Open Pickups and choose Edit pickup details, or use Edit in an eligible pickup’s detail view. Ready and Cancelled pickups remain locked.

I need help

First search the self-service Help Center for account, pickup, link, and billing answers. If the issue remains, open Support Center to save a private request and follow its status, or contact Dockcerto. A saved support request and confirmed email receipt are separate.
